Apparently, when you are the oldest and wisest of dragons, you have carte blanche to summon the Most Powerful Man in the Universe whenever you feel like it– even when the matter at hand is more of a chore than a challenge.
In this episode, our favorite slim-shouldered dragon is super tired of hearing about how Torm, a beseeching youngling dragon, is in love with a human. Granamyr’s ready for Torm and the human (Lyra) to get married so he can buy some tabards from their registry at Darksmoke’s Bed Bath and Beyond and get it over with, but there’s one hitch. Lyra’s dad, Brindle, (a wizard, who is not a king no matter how many times we mistakenly refer to him as one), needs a human champion to win a maze challenge before he will consent to Lyra’s marriage.
Did we mention that Torm is going to transform into a human when the two lovebirds get married? Yet, still, somehow, He-Man is the only human who can perform Brindle’s challenge. At least, he’s the only human whose phone number Granamyr has.
This is a fun episode: in addition to discussing the perks of a dragon spouse, we also eat Valentine’s candy and spend way too much time wondering what’s in the hole that Granamyr sits in.
