If this is the first and only “He-Man” episode you will ever see, it’s important to know that this cartoon does NOT feature real-life guest stars, in the vein of “Scooby-Doo” or “Alvin and the Chipmunks.”
You’d be forgiven for making that assumption, though. Because not only do we meet a Jimmy Stewart impersonator at the animal sanctuary, we’re also introduced to Maddok, a stout 70s scientist who somehow wandered into Skeletor’s employ.
You see, Maddock has been capturing and reprogramming animals to become super ornery, and he’ll take Beast Man’s job if Skeletor is satisfied with the results. As you might be hoping, this is a very sad and hilarious situation for everyone involved.
And don’t worry: He-Man’s still in the picture. He’s busy doling out animal facts to save King Randor’s birthday party with some help from a bratty child named Ricky who constantly whines about missing the celebration. (Apparently, “King Randurr’s” birthday party is going to have a fly-over, which actually does sound pretty cool.)
Plus, we hear about Scott’s magical zoo pass and the absurd privileges that it affords his entire family. Don’t miss this one!
